Mobile World Congress has celebrated its 11th edition in Barcelona making Barcelona the center of business and innovation. With 101.000 attendees and more than 2.000 participant companies, the big mobile event beat records again. They are also more the events held around the exhibition space, both inside and outside it.

At an exhibition of such magnitude, the need of stand out and make the difference is basic. Companies, communication agencies and stands constructors look for attractive solutions to showcase techno – logical innovations.

Sono is a usual AV supplier of the trade fair and, as previous years, has worked together with designers and agencies providing technical consultancy and AV equipment rental for stands in Fira Gran Via for #MWC2016.

There has been a lot of talk about virtual reality in this MWC. As for the show – casing, interactivity has been also an important point and also large format displays like videowalls, led screens or big LED monitors.

As well as mobile and technological companies, the fair hosts more and more other sectors to do honor to the motto “Mobile is everything”. That is the case of automotive industry with companies like Nissan presenting its cutting-edge innovations on IoT (Internet of Things) with its 100% electric car LEAF.

Besides the stands and booths, for third year in a row, Sono has been the audio visual responsible for the event 4YFN, whose third edition has been assigned by public tender. Taking place in Fira Montjuic this event for startups and entrepreneurs had 3 big stages and other smaller 5 for keynote, panel sessions and works – hops.

Beyond the events inside the fairgrounds, big brands have carried out events at other spaces in Barcelona. Sono has also collaborated for some of these events as AV provider.

Mobile World Congress has announced dates for next edition: from 27th Fe – bruary to 2nd March 2017.
